Who is Dynamic Logic and what does Dynamic Logic do?

Dynamic Logic is a leading research company that analyzes marketing effectiveness through surveys and studies that are voluntarily completed by consumers. We do not use cookies or any other tracking technology in our direct services but may retain or partner with entities, such as Safecount.net (www.safecount.net), to discern consumer exposure to certain ads (if they are part of a study we are conducting) and the number of times these ads are seen. For our studies on advertising effectiveness, our partners such as Safecount.net may capture standard web traffic information such as time of ad exposure, date of ad viewing, IP address and browser type.  afecount.net offers you the opportunity to choose to NOT be tracked for ad exposure (and also to NOT be invited to take an online survey) where safecount.net is tracking and/or recruiting for research studies.  To exercise this option, you can click here http://www.safecount.net/yourdata.php and scroll down to use the "Consumer Opt-Out" button which will set a special cookie that excludes you from the above mentioned activity. You can opt-in and opt-out at http://www.safecount.net/viewyourcookiesinformation_optinout.php.

Once a user agrees to participate in the survey, the user may be asked to provide their zip code, gender, birth year, income and in some cases, email address. Email address is only requested in 3 specific cases: 1) sweepstakes or other incentive is offered for users to participate in a particular research study, in which case the email address is used to notify the user if he/she has been selected to receive a prize, 2) to re-contact the user if he/she has opted-in to take future surveys, and 3) from time to time we conduct internal collaboration exercises and if an inconsistency with respect to your survey answers is noted in that process, we may contact you to get clarity . The other (i.e., other than email address) data values are only used to weight and analyze the survey results. If you do not wish to provide this information, then you will not be able to participate in our survey.

Survey results sent to our clients do not include email addresses or other personally-identifying information. We never divulge specific user information. In the case where a sweepstakes is offered as an incentive to participate in a study, selected winners must provide their name and address so that the winning prize may be delivered to them.

Occasionally, a web site partner of Dynamic Logic wants to know how your usage of their web site impacts your attitudes as reflected in surveys. To do this, they place identifying code, or beacons, on our survey page. This enables our publisher partner to tell, for example, if people who use the sports section of the site think differently than people who use the finance section of the site. This is consistent with that web site's privacy policy, and it is never released to a third party.

Do you rent, sell or release my name, address or email information?

No. We do not rent, sell, or release list information without your consent. You are providing it to our organization only, and we do not assume that we have your permission to provide it to any other organization or company without your consent.

What do you do with my survey answers?

All data collected is grouped together and analyzed as a whole - in the aggregate. Your identity will never be attached to a specific piece of information or response. In the analysis we provide to clients we do not say: Bob Smith from Tuscon, AZ said XYZ. On the occasion that we'd like to use a direct quote from your survey you will be contacted directly. And if you do not grant us permission, the quote will not be used.

All data is stored in the US.

Why do I need to provide my name, address and email?

We use your email address for a few purposes. The first is to inform you if you have been chosen as a sweepstakes winner for having taken a survey. The second is to contact you if you have opted in to take future surveys. Your name and mailing address would be requested only in the case where you are the sweepstakes winner and a check or prize has to be delivered to you. Age, gender and other demographic information is used to determine a user's eligibility to qualify for a survey.

You will be notified by email if there is ever a change in the way we use your personal information.

Lastly, we may contact you if we have any questions or concerns about the accuracy of your information. We periodically conduct internal corroboration amongst all our data tables and also validate data fields to reveal any possible inconsistencies in the database. The outcome of this exercise may prompt us to contact you.

And keep in mind, if you ever want any personal information (name, address, email address or other contact information) to be removed from our database, just contact us via email at info@dynamiclogic.com, and we will accommodate your request.

Why do I need to provide income, education and occupation information?

This information is used to properly analyze data. Many different types of people participate in these surveys and this type of data helps us and our clients understand who participated and see if there are any interesting similarities, differences or trends among participants in different groups.

How do you pay me if I am a Sweepstakes winner?

Based on the name and address you submit, we will issue you a check when applicable. This process takes 4 - 6 weeks depending on the nature of the survey.

What types of data do you collect?

We primarily collect attitudinal data. Attitudinal data is about attitudes, just like it sounds. You provide this type of data when you answer survey questions. For example, your opinions or attitudes toward a certain topic or specific product or service make up attitudinal data.

We also keep automated server log files that record IP address, browser type, time and date, and file accessed for all visitors to this website (www.dynamiclogic.com). These logs are for maintenance purposes only, and we are not able nor do we make any effort to match them to any personal identifiable information.

Do we use cookies in relation to our business services?

Dynamic Logic does not use cookies or any other tracking technology as part of our research services.  However, we work with entities or partners that do employ cookies to track users exposure to certain ads.  Every time a user sees an ad that is part of a Dynamic Logic study, a cookie may be set in your browser. The cookie will remain dormant until you are asked to take a survey.

If you choose to take the survey, your browser may be examined to see if a cookie has been set which denotes your exposure to a certain ad. If a related cookie is detected in your browser, only two pieces of information will be gathered from it: where you have seen a particular ad, and how many times you have seen it. Any cookie file information used in our studies is only to evaluate your exposure to an advertisement or web site pages belonging to companies that have retained our services. However, we do NOT have access to your computer or your cookie files to see what third party web sites you may have visited. Our research clients will be given your responses as part of an aggregate dataset delivery but they will not know who you are.  No personally identifiable information is secured via the cookie and no personally identifiable information is delivered to our clients.

Do you use cookies and undertake data collection on this site?

Yes, we may use cookies on this site. Their only purpose is to help us analyze web traffic. You may set your Web browser to notify you of cookie placement requests or to decline cookies completely. You can delete the files that contain cookies; those files are stored as part of your internet browser.

We may also automatically collect non-personal information about your use of this site. Examples of such non-personal information is the type of internet browser that’s visiting the site, the pages of our site that’s visited or the Web site which directed you to our site. You cannot be identified from this information and it is used only to assist us in providing an effective experience on this Web site.

What security measures do you take?

Dynamic Logic observes industry standards in its efforts to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of your Personal Information through the use of a firewall and password protection systems. Our security and Privacy Policy are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary. Unfortunately though, you should understand that "perfect security" does not exist on the Internet.

What is your policy regarding children's privacy?

Dynamic Logic is committed to the safety of our children. Children under 18 may not participate in the Dynamic Logic Sweepstakes. Dynamic Logic generally does not allow children under 13 to participate in Surveys. If a Survey is open to children under 13, the study is conducted in full compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (Click here for more information on Coppa).

Are you compliant with the EU Safe Harbor Agreement?

Yes, Dynamic Logic abides by the EU-US Safe Harbor framework as set forth by the Department of Commerce regarding collection, use, and retention of data from the European Union.

Notification of Changes

If we are going to use your personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify you via email. You will have a choice as to whether or not we use your information in this different manner. However, if you have opted out of communication with us then you will not be contacted, nor will your personal information be used in the new manner. In addition, if we make material changes in our privacy practices, we will post a prominent notice on our web site notifying users of the change. In some cases where we post the notice we will also email users, who have opted to receive communications from us, notifying them of the changes in our privacy practices.
